I don't think I will be able to post a lot anymore. I do not like the new tapatalk at all.

Minus the auto images, follow and subscribe, it's not too bad IMO.

Edit: easier to upload images with Tapatalk

Mybb did something on Monday which did this. V4.x.y no longer works. I've gone over to a v5.8 backup.

Otherwise you have to update to v6 and curse the ads.

I'm also getting notifications in my status bar that I can't seem to disable. Have resorted to letting Greenify shut down Tapatalk when I'm done with it.

Really boggles the brain how they went from really good software to the crap it is today. Even just the UI layout on the old versions was so much easier to read / see content.

lots of wasted real estate
browsing on the old version I could see 5 threads per screen, now its like 1,5 due to the pic preview they have

Too many bells and whistles coupled with this new developer mindset that users are dumb and should be hand fed everything.
 
You can disable everything, previews, notifications etc but it still uses space k@k regardless

Have you ever paid for any Tapatalk version? You can send email- or Google purchase history screenshot to be upgraded to VIP.

I also have no adverts but bought it years ago.

Only had to email them the proof thing once (around 2 years ago I think) and never seen an advert again.

I bought it years ago and am getting ads. Hence gone back to v5.

I really would like to know what Mybb did on Monday to kill v4.

v5.80 is doing the job for me. If they want me to jump through extra hoops, I will go back to using a browser.

The *only* advantage Tapatalk has for me, over browser software, is the participated tab.

I did it many versions ago. Once off thing
 
Ugh.
Old version at least indicated when you'd read a new thread in the Participated list by darkening it. New version doesn't do anything.

Also so much empty space everywhere.
