Tar Driveways

Tar paving solutions

Pros are that you save money how ever not that much as you will have to hire people to assist, hire the plant equipment & probably the transport to bring it to your place as well as the truck for asphalt.

Cons are that you shorten your tar driveway's life by not being experienced with laying asphalt.
An improperly compacted surfaces will not last long & also create ditches which will result in potholes
I suggest you seek for an expect who will give your tar surfacing a good drainage terrain like

Don't. My parent's church decided to tar their car park.

Turns out there is a reason the municipalities get engineering firms to do roadworks & they excavate half a meter & do multiple layers gravel & drainage..

Inexpensive tar = might as well stick to gravel. In fact it's worse. Church had potholes after one solid rain. Not rain season...RAIN.

I am under the impression that the tar will be laid on top of the existing paving, ours was done like that and it's still looking good after so many years, I guess it's different laying it on top of the paving compared to laying it on gravel.

clay pavers don't really age that quickly, they last for years and if they do start to look old you can just flip them around

the CBD is filled with clay paving on the pavement and some sections of roads, and they have lasted quite a bit actually considering the abuse it gets on a daily basis
