Guys hired to do 'security work' in Iraq, including a South African, filmed themselves driving around firing indiscriminately at cars and civilians.

It looks like they're going to get away with it, without repercussions.

The shooting is directed at cars that failed to keep their distance from the security vehicle, along 'Route Irish', a notorious 12km strip of highway linking Baghdad's "green zone" to the airport.

**** that! Thats so wrong I feel like going to blow them away (20mm ought to do it). Imagine just driving along and getting blasted by a hail of automatic fire (well actually not to difficult to imagine in SA), I wonder how much those guys do it.

I supposed we'd have to Walk/Drive a mile in their Shoes/SUVs? A car is just car until it's a VBIED... and then you're dead. Would I take chances? Probably not.

lets not forget iraq is a country helping terrorists.

and that by america invading... oops... liberating they are doing the western world a favour. (except for the oil price)

viva america. viva le bafoons.

EDIT::

seems the liberaters are the terrorists after watching that vid dont you think?

This is clever spinning.
The truth is that they are reporting everything back to their command, that's why you hear the beep sounds. It's not censored swearing, but it's the noise a radio makes.
These guys are scared of cars packed full of explosives ramming into the convoy, and that's why they first fired warning shots and only then took out the danger. It's nothing untoward other than a reporter creating a false story.

I saw this video a few months back - they were stopped at the side of the road - firing at indiscrimate traffic (there is no way this is justifiable.)

I suppose if you told a European that we shoot burglars on sight they might also say something ignorant like this:

Well in the end what goes around comes around.

...because they lack the ability to wrap their heads around the South African reality, where families are raped, tortured and murdered on a regular basis. Same is true of Iraq. It's a completely different world where people survive by completely different rules. Doesn't make it right, but its not for some kid sitting on his couch in South Africa to judge either.

I don't like the fact that there are South Africans in Iraq making mistakes that cost innocent Iraqi's their lives but I can you tell you now that if it were my dad/brother over there, I'd rather he be safe than sorry. I'm sure you would too.

What goes around does come around. If what they are doing is firing at terrorists, then they have nothing to worry about do they?
I don't want to elaborate, but I know a few of the gung-ho merc tipe and trust me it does catch up with them in the end. I can name three who have committed suicide because of the demons catching up with them.:(
I suppose someone has to do the filthy heartless jobs we don't want to know about. It sucks when you get the reality call though doesn't it?

One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter.

Just to explain the phrase - It means if you have done something wrong it will come back to bite you. If not, nothing to worry. I don't get the "ignorant" part.
