Tatasky digicom in botswana

Dear sir,

I brought Tatasky digicom decoder from india. i am in botswana trying to access tatasky channels using tatasky digicom. We used 1.8 m dish, but no signals received. Kindly help me with what size of satellite dish should i use? C band (or ) k-u band?

Why did you buy a decoder from India? Its a long way to get a signal. You are then going to need to get a "moerse" dish, for the C-Band signal channels you will need a 10 ft dish. For KU-band channels you will need a 30 inch (76 cm) dish or larger (poor signal, get a larger dish, there are some people in botswana that might help you get a dish locally, try them).

Looks like they use Insat 4A only. I might be wrong, but with a quick search I can't find mention of any other satellites. According to Lyngsat the footprint only covers India.
