Tattooees...

Never been bothered when people have asked, never will be either... Like Ol' Mean Bastid says, they are art (my dad calls them a poor man's way of collecting art :D)

I dont mind showing my ink, I have a full sleeve.

What I hate is having to explain each one

Then do an explanation video and send them the link  oh and QR code it too :p

I don't do tats and thats only because i respect the family rule O_o but IF i were to do one, probably get one around the neck area so it should be more or less visible at all times and i wouldn't mind explaining it all the time :)

Your family made their own rules :D

Ask around the older folk. You were not considered an adult until you had at least one tatoo. For females it was generally the husbands name.

I don't mind showing if asked. I have a tribal tattoo I designed on my shoulder.

And my wife & kids names in Chinese symbols on my back. I don't go around showing this one though.

I do find it a bit odd but I don't particularly find it offensive.

If I had openly visible tattoos I think it would be perfectly normal for someone to ask to see it in more detail...but then this is also why I don't have anything openly visible.

Actually one of the things I've been asking myself about whether I want that kind of attention if I do have work done on my leg.

I would be offended or awkward around the explanation part because it's a very personal thing to me and explaining it people often get the wrong idea of what it actually means to you.
