Taxation - Looking for a general template/Framework ...

Anyone know where I could point my friend to with regards to basic tax frameworks, templates and other issues like tax thresholds, CGT, general deduction formulas? She is starting a small business and want to try and do the basics herself. I had a template showing all the different deductions allowed and under what section they fell... but I just cannot find it anywhere.
