Anybody seen this problem before?
User works on LAN or wireless, can use lotus notes, replicate mails, works 100%
As soon as he connects via 3G/GPRS het gets this message when trying to replicate his mails:
The TCP/IP protocol reported that it ran out of memory. Consult your network documentation to increase configured memory or reduce Notes connections by limiting clients (See SERVER_MAX....)
When this happens cannot browse the internet anymore either, browser just gives "page cannot be displayed"....
Going to cmd u can ping websites/addresses and get reply, so its still connected, just cannot use it.
If u then disconnect 3G, and connect to LAN or wifi again, the problem is still there, same error in Lotus, no browsing.
Got to restart laptop to get working connection again.
Cant seem to find any solution on google....
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated, thanx

It is a setting with Lotus Notes.

SERVER_MAX gives a clue...

seems the message is to reduce or limit connections in SERVER_MAX in notes.ini, but I don't see server or max in the ini file.
One site suggest delete cache.dsk, ... no fix.
I went into Control panel, add/remove, repair Notes.
Will try uninstall, re-install

would luv to not use lotus, but we part of global co, gotta use what the other sites use :-(

Lotus Notes is a very powerful collaboration suite, make no mistake. Personally I don't like it at all

ping 127.0.0.1 on the laptop/workstation, this will confirm that the TCP/IP protocol stack is installed and working properly, you can then move onto the next issue.....................

I think the problem might be on the server-side rather than on the client side.

Best to email the sysadmin and ask what you can do.
