Team Lead - Active Directory Services. Braamfontein. Strictly EE position. R520k.
Purpose of the Role
* Manage and Maintain Active Directory and supporting services including infrastructure.
* Lead the Active Directory Team and managing team members and contractors
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
Operational
* Planning, Implement and assist with Design Active for Directory Internal and Extranet, Lync, FIM and Password Automation taking into consideration growth projections for the Group
* Management, Maintenance and Upkeep of Active Directory/DNS/DHCP/WINS * Ensure that appropriate monitoring, analyses and evaluation of system performance and working on resolution of identified degradation trends and problem areas (Performance & Capacity Management).
* Drive Incidents and Project from start to completion ensuring all stakeholder needs are met or exceeded.
* Active Directory Group policy configuration and setup in accordance to Policies.
* Automate all checks for monitoring and reporting via PowerShell.
* Provide Technical expertise advice to Business Units ensuring deliverables are met and in line with Group Strategy
* Manage and Maintain vendor relationships, MSA’s and SLA’s
* Anticipate customer needs and propose alternative business solutions.
* Assist with design of infrastructure ensuring all factors are considered – Prod, HA & DR
* Ensure environmental documents and guides are up to date and current * Ensure best of breed solutions are adopted.
* Ensure projects are completed within agreed time lines & milestones, according to specifications and meet all quality specifications (i.e. Risk management, deployment, reliable, documented for future reference).
Provide accurate, relevant and up to date feedback to project manager/manager as and when requested. Identify and escalate all project related risks to project manager/manager and provide mitigating alternatives.
* Facilitating, documenting, and implementing standards
* Work with other senior engineers and Managers to develop technical solutions that solve business challenges and improve processes
* Serve as an escalation point, providing troubleshooting guidance and direction in the resolution of complex production problems
* Providing consulting advice and guidance to customers and other GTS teams in their area of technical expertise
* Identify opportunities to innovate, extend and enhance service delivery everywhere possible
* Enable success of IT through change management, including communications, compliance and approvals.
* Consultant with various internal customers to provide information pertaining to server and account administration, application integration, troubleshooting, user support and education, as well as server and client configuration, documentation and planning.
* System and Security Management.
* Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible issues/gaps.
* Manage user accounts, file permissions, group policies
* Manage overall capacity utilization of IT Security Server/Hardware environment ensuring it is optimized to meet business requirements.
* Maintain open channels with stakeholders to ensure business continuity. Risk and Compliance
* Manage and Maintain Risk exposure for Active Directory and supporting applications.
* Implement procedures and manage the resolution of all outstanding audit, risk and vendor recommendations
* Ensure all risk findings are dealt with in an appropriate agreed upon time with no repeat audit findings.
* Conduct regular risk assessments and establish mitigating solutions.
* Monitoring, management and reporting on all Privilege accounts in systems being maintained.
* Facilitating, documenting, and implementing standards * Define frameworks, processes, and procedures that are designed to ensure the highest levels of availability, security, and quality People
* Access and Mentor staff
* Align staff KPI’s to meet company deliverables
* Effectively communicate relevant IT-related information to superiors and peers in different Business Units
* Engage with Key stakeholders ensuring SLA’s and OLA’s are met with Vendors
* Guide Team Members ensuring accountability, Knowledge transfer / Cross Skilling, training and team availability to support business from Junior to senior skill level.
* Provide consultative service to staff, clients and vendors on how best to implement solutions within the agreed standards.
* Adherence to IT Security Best Practices, Policies, Procedures and Standards Financial
* Introduce Cost Saving Initiatives for the Department.
* See through cost reduction initiatives while ensuring that quality and delivery capabilities are not negatively impacted.
