About Us

Appenate is a Brisbane-based startup (founded by lewstherin, old school MyADSLer), building a leading business to business mobility platform, aimed at the IT channel and enterprise.

Our rapidly expanding customer base is increasingly European and US based, which we manage via an integrated team anchored out of Australia and South Africa to improve timezone coverage for our users.

We have embraced the concept of a distributed company, with staff working either from home or out of co-working spaces.


The Opportunity

Being a small company, we expect all team members to learn fast and work across many aspects.

To join us, you need to be self-starting, disciplined and able to communicate well.
If you don't want to work from home, no problem - we'll cover the cost of a desk at a co-working space near you.

Our preference is to find someone in Durban, but our arm can be twisted if you're the right person for the job.

We all hang out in HipChat and Skype, so you're in constant contact with the whole team.
You'll be setup with whatever equipment you need to be productive.


Role & Requirements

Our platform is used by customers in the IT channel - i.e. software vendors, solution providers, system integrators, enterprise IT departments.

We're looking for someone with a technical background and experience working in the kinds of companies above.
Ideally you will have performed roles such as software implementation, cloud service configuration, solutions consulting, systems integration, technical documentation etc.

You must have excellent English skills - you'll be working with customers around the world in written and verbal form, so this is a non-negotiable.

We want you to come in and develop an expert level understanding of our platform, becoming a product specialist.
Once you're up to speed with our tech, you'll work in a client facing role as part of our Customer Success team.
Daily duties will include:
  • running product demonstrations
  • helping customers build cool solutions on our platform
  • answering questions from existing and prospective clients
  • authoring tutorials and other learning content such as training videos and webinars
  • collaborating with our development team on product design and testing, using your client insights to help us build great new features

You really must enjoy helping customers - even the "trying" ones ;)
We build great relationships with our customers, so its super important that you enjoy talking to them and helping solve their problems!

Salary starts at R25,000 and will increase based on your experience, fit and performance going forward.
