Tech jobs with the highest stress

Whoever put this together has never ever set foot into a technical environment where if you screw up you read about it on the news. Good job, but err, no.

Seems very top heavy and merely based on very specific decision making processes.
 
LOL... umm .. IT OPS Manager on any 5 nine environment should pretty much take the cake .. The guy whos getting his ass handed to him by the CEO, for the infrastructure / network / dev failure or balls up ..

Sysadmin on whose shoulders rest the safety of company data... if data is lost, company will fold and jobs will be lost.
 
I deal with data for some of Scandinavias biggest accounting companies.

Things that can go wrong if i screw up:
- Auto payments from banks to customers or vise versa can be messed up resulting in bounced payments, incorrect payments etc.
- Invoicing which is sent in bulk could stop
- Strict laws regarding data archiving and storage on financial institutions can be broken with serious implications
- basically one wrong script could put hundreds of accountants out of work at the same time.
etc etc...

I got an award last year for keeping cool under pressure and I sometime feel like crawling under my desk and crying.
I know of colleagues who does exactly that.

Top executive doesn't have stress, their only stress is that of which new car to buy and which shoes to get the wife from Italy.

HAHA you know this, but they also like to parade their cars and then circle-jerk each other. Of course if they made a "bad" decision its just time to cut into the work force and not their position or salary.
 
You know what.. I cannot handle this newspeak and Orwellian culture anymore.
Time to vaporize Lancaster i.e. put on ignore
 
I'm a software developer, and I can tell you I was stressed yesterday after I took changes "accidentally" to a production system. 5 Min of going, OhF OhF OhF, pondering if I must notify the higher ups(those guys are stressed).

At the end I just kept calm looked at the changes made and reverted to the previous version, and nobody knows anything.
 
Support is stressful. I think business exec should go to school and become advanced users because they never stop..... :mad:

Former Eskom execs will disagree, it has been their heads rolling not the work force's.
