Hi,

what is your experience regarding iBurst on a technical level?

Mine is at present excellent - this is since an upgrade to the ethernet desk modem running PPPoE.

The connection is very stable, and speeds are quite close to what is sold.

What is your experience on the technical side?

PS: On the admin/accounting side it is not such a happy experience.

To be quite honest, I would say that I'm neutral, but leaning towards the satisfied side.

It's been quite a while since I had Authentication problems,
I have not timed out on a website in a while either,
When I do download something the speed is almost always close to 100kbs (I'm mostly in front of my iBurst connection after 7PM), but...
as soon as that download reaches 98% odd...it just hangs, bombs out and I need to start over, rather irritating if that file happens to be 1.5GB!
Heck, I've even had pleasant experiences on p2p a few times in the last 2 months.

I do however feel as if the offering from iBurst is currently starting to lack behind. 1mbs is becoming quite slow when I look at my friends/colleagues running 4mbs @ home and 3.6mbs on wireless :S, and even Telkom have now upped their cap sizes.

iBurst for us has been very good this year, very stable overall, minimal issues. We still have old ancient original desktop modem (the white one) attached to the Linux firewall via ethernet.

Infact, I'm a little surprised the UTD still works, since they originally gave us the wrong transformer, and was running a few volts below required. :D

Indeed, we really need more bang for our buck.
