Who are they?
My client, based in the Northern Suburbs, focus on developing custom Microsoft technology based applications or extending the functionality of SharePoint and Dynamics CRM through development and systems integration with their internal systems or 3rd party products.
What will you do?
• Participate in the implementation and achievement of departmental objectives
• Responsible for executing projects to meet briefs, standards, client requirements and deadlines including:
o Analysing requirements, planning and design of development solution
o Responsibility for ensuring that all work meets best practice code re-usability
o Application maintenance and fault resolution
o Ensure adequate testing of all development to meet quality standards (permutations, usability, stability and accuracy)
o Assist with the construction, & execute systems and program test plan to verify correct operation of completed system.
o Ensuring understanding of and compliance to company development methodology and standards
o Assist with the development of software solutions to relevant platforms
o Mentorship of other resources, conducting code reviews, partake in initiatives to innovate, share experience, showcase new technology and frameworks
o Assist with broader enterprise technological strategy (e.g. Technical Forum)
o Prototyping solutions to ensure that functional and non-functional requirements can be met
• Interaction with clients, account and project management relating to
o Systems/Project design sessions (input on different options, architectural considerations, technology stack, etc.)
o Project/Solution feasibility, initial scoping (estimations), potential resource requirements
o Technical solutions/systems/product roadmaps
• Ensure issues are escalated timeously and appropriately
o Effective and rapid management of client incidents and requests
Can you apply?
• Relevant tertiary qualification (BSc Computer Science, BCom IS, IS Diploma)
• Microsoft development experience
• 10 years’ Microsoft development experience
Required technologies:
• C#
• Object-Relational Mapping framework experience (e.g. NHibernate; Entity Framework)
• Multi-Threading
• Experience using design patterns
• Windows Forms Development
• Frameworks .Net 2.0 – 4.5
• Strong Object Orientation skills
• Systems integration experience
• Unit-/Integration-testing experience
• Web Services
• WCF Services
• Windows Services
• XML
• Database Design and development using SQL Server 2008 / 2012
• SQL Server Integration Services
• SQL Server Reporting Services
• Good problem solving ability
• Source Control Systems [SVN and/or TFS]
Do you also have Workflow exposure [WWF/K2.Net 2003/K2 black pearl]?
Do you have experience in VB.Net and exposure to TDD?
Do you know Scrum and Unit Testing?
Do you have experience building scalable systems?
Do you have a good understanding of IIS Configuration?
Do you build solid systems and architectural design (e.g. UML designs)?
