We are looking for a presentable, dynamic and assertive Technical Network Engineer with 3-5 years experience in the ICT industry.
Role Functions:
- Providing key accounts and new clients with differentiated product solutions and services.
- Ensuring understanding of customer needs and processes and offering technical and service value add regarding specialised products.
- Preparing strategic plans for key accounts managing trials and technical service at customer sites.
- Responsible for the compilation of monthly reports to senior management.
- Provide technical sales support which may include: define, articulate, and detail the technical aspects and feasibility of proposed solutions; delivering Proof of Concept; developing and delivering technical education; supporting critical situations; aligning solutions; and answering technical questions. When engaged for a specific opportunity or project, they are responsible for the technical accuracy of the proposed solution.
- In this role, you will be analyzing customer situations and requirements and developing high quality Dealer Management System specific solutions, which are tailored to the client’s business and technical needs in a way that is valued by the customer and superior to the competition. It is essential that you are able to apply in-depth understanding of best practices, key concepts, products, offerings and services within the Dealer Management solution specialty and utilize knowledge and experience about technology, industry and business.
- Learn and keep up to date with product features and benefits.
- Gather information from Customers to ensure energetic and skilful system demonstrations that speak to the key business pains and opportunities.
- Ensure key customer requirements are communicated back to the correct internal departments to keep the system up to date or deal with perceived shortfalls.
- Oversee key customer installations to ensure alignment to commitments.
- Routinely collect competitor information and distribute to key internal departments.
- Assist with sales and pre-sales proposals where necessary to ensure accuracy of solution proposed.
- Follow through on commitments made to clients within agreed time frames in order to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- First point of contact for all technical client queries.
- Troubleshoot all priority logged faults.
- Simulate customer faults in a LAB environment to assist troubleshoot client related issues.
- Assist in documenting technical / software related faults discovered on our products.
- Assist sales & pre-sales on ad hoc tasks.
Minimum qualifications and Requirements:
- An IT/Engineering Diploma or Bachelor degree in engineering, informatics or equal by experience.
- 3-5 years or more experience in the IT/Datacom industry.
- Previous employment at a service provider would be beneficial.
- Telecom background (Routing protocols, QoS tunnelling, IP VPNs, security…) and transmission technologies (xDSL) preferably focused to the access side of the network.
- Knowledge of VoIP and IPT solutions (Centres, SIP, H323, Coding techniques). Legacy Voice understanding beneficial.
- IT knowledge.
- Experience on Cisco-like equipment, CCNA / CCNP / CCIP knowledge will be beneficial.
- Be willing to travel

- Demonstrated track record of delivering results.
- Valid driver’s license with reliable car
- Capable of working in an international context
- Microsoft Visio experience (a plus)
