Who are they?
My client delivers innovative enterprise solutions to some of the big SA corporate brands. Projects range from complex CRM customisations and integration into legacy applications to development of innovative SharePoint based solutions. Or “from the ground up” development of bespoke applications that support business critical processes.
What will you do?
As a Technical Project Manager, you will primarily be responsible for overseeing the Software Development cycle in their efforts to deliver multiple, concurrent running projects for their flagship clients. Using a combination of classic Project Management and Agile methodologies, it will be your responsibility to ensure well-oiled, smooth running development processes and cycles that ensure on-time, high quality delivery. You will work closely with the Account Managers or Project Managers liaising with these clients, providing them with relevant, up to date information, whilst ensuring the “engine room” runs at optimal pace.
To do this successfully, they expect you to be technical, analytical and have excellent problem solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills is a must have, and so is being a team player. Attention to detail, accuracy, organisational and prioritisation skills and a passion for delivery and service is a must.
General Duties
• Contribute to the development, implementation and enhancement of processes (internal and external) used in the governance and reporting of development activities.
• Using elements of the Agile Methodology (Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Stand-ups, Retrospectives), manage and conduct iterative development cycles
• Responsible for all related administrative project management tasks (including regular reports, creating and managing the project plan & status updates).
• Assist with engagement and management of work scheduling requiring 3rd party vendors.
• Ensures the team provides input for Estimation purposes.
• Creation of the detailed Project Plan for project delivery.
• Ensures agreed Way of Working with the Client is adhered to.
• Conduct post-delivery Project reviews (internal).
• Identify, manage and liaise with Account Manager on Change Requests and impacts.
• Highlight perceived or identified project risks, impacts ,etc.

• Matric & relevant tertiary qualification
• Proven track record of managing multi skilled teams of developers and testers, delivering across concurrent running projects
• 10 Years+ Project Management using either traditional or Agile methodologies, or both
• Experience with Project Management tools (creating, maintaining project plans)
