Anyways i have booked to have my teeth cleaned then bleached, just wondering what horror stories can come out of this. Does it make your teeth sensitive? How long does did last for people who have had it done?

Basically is it a workable solution?

I haven't done much research on this, but my trusty dentist confirmed that he'd do it on request, but did not promote it as it's not healthy for your teeth. How long it lasts vary quite considerably, but somewhere between 2 and 6 months I hear.
My wife was keen to have it done, but decided against it after a Google search.

If you smoke, then it lasts less than a year. In any case your teeth will be feeling a little sensitive. Some people more than others.
It's no big deal provided your dentist has experience (or your hygenist for that matter)
I stay away from the product Brite Smile because it's really overpriced and I like those take home trays they give you for touch ups.
What it boils down to is price, price price. There's a lot of fleecing going on out there.

I had it done once ....... never again. Sensitivity increased and after about 2 months it was as if it never happened. Waste of money.

I am getting it done though in a chair and i get a kit afterward for maintenance, did you also get this?

It's 2k, oms if this lasts 2 months for 2 k i will be mighty fu%6ing pissed because i am not chipping my wII or getting the controllers for it.

Now i am worried.

my mom had her's done about a year ago, still looking pretty white.
but then again, she doesnt drink fizzy drinks or coffee and she doesnt smoke...

2-6 months?????????????????????????????????????????????????

That's right, as confirmed in others posts - this is just one aspect that ruled out my miss's getting hers done, that and the fact that I didn't think here teeth were that off-white.

O well i shall report back on monday, will take some before and after pics and post them and revive this thread another 6 months later and we see :)

That's the spirit. Sometimes you just have to say **** it and jump!

Mitch hedberg : "I was about to get my teeth whitened,....but said f**k it,Ill just get a tan instead."

dude, I tried this years ago just for a kick and to see what my smile would look like - it actually works .. for a few minutes ... then you mouth tastes like sh*t after it starts to flake off.

Now I would like to find out who off you will go try it out - just for the fun of it ....
