Telefunken lcd

First off all, hope this is in the right section,

I have seen game as a telefunken lcd tv (37' full hd) on special, anyone have any experience with this model or telefunken in general?

Would it be a good buy or not, the price looks good (R2999.00)

Just remember that the R2999 doesn't include VAT
Rather save R500 (before VAT) and get the Samsung LA32D400 for R2499, you will not regret it!

I would stay clear of Telefunken. our work bought 10 in 1 year. All ten failed within 1 month to a year. The repair agents could not repair them at all ( no parts available). Go with a Sinotec ( 5 year warranty from makro) or Samsung rather.

I'd honestly steer clear of Sinotec as well, pricing isn't where it was a couple of years ago.

Hello Endlesslyonline. I also wanted to buy the 37" Telefunken. I have also asked for advice here (under the thread LCD / Plasma Discussions) and everyone said that the Samsung 32" 5 Series is a MUCH better buy.

I wanted the 37" cos its a good price. The samsung is going for R3499 at Game - which is also a FHD tv but with a MUCH much better screen and colour. I decided to buy the Samsung - and I am not in the least dissappointed. Really, if you have cash for the Telefunken - MUCH rather go for the Samsung deal at Game!!

The R2999 includes vat and that is the price you pay. There are no hidden costs - same as the Samsung - R3499 - no other costs.
