Hey Guys,
Apologies, I started the thread and never followed up again as I was out of town for some time. Thanks for all the replies thus far, and yes, I still have the same issue. Also 100% correct w.r.t. the rca, it's only HDMI that caused the frustration. It is also the same in my case if I unplug the HD cable, but how long is the port going to last and in my case difficult to get access..?
I have the same feeling as FFactor towards DSTV, but surely this will take another 100 years before they would solve the prob.
Looking at the immediate problem, it seems to be only this specific model (55") Telefunken that has this issue. I have 2 x HDPVR (prim & sec) both connected to telefunken tv's, the other tv is a 40" also with a slave tv connected to the PVR's RF out port and no problem at all. I have swopped decoders and tried all kinds of stuff with no success.
Could we somehow maybe get hold of Telefunken to get advise as to how the tv's control over the pvr could be activated/de-activated??
