Telefunken TLCD55FHDP controls HDPVR2P??

Hey Guys,
Apologies, I started the thread and never followed up again as I was out of town for some time. Thanks for all the replies thus far, and yes, I still have the same issue. Also 100% correct w.r.t. the rca, it's only HDMI that caused the frustration. It is also the same in my case if I unplug the HD cable, but how long is the port going to last and in my case difficult to get access..?

I have the same feeling as FFactor towards DSTV, but surely this will take another 100 years before they would solve the prob.
Looking at the immediate problem, it seems to be only this specific model (55") Telefunken that has this issue. I have 2 x HDPVR (prim & sec) both connected to telefunken tv's, the other tv is a 40" also with a slave tv connected to the PVR's RF out port and no problem at all. I have swopped decoders and tried all kinds of stuff with no success.

Could we somehow maybe get hold of Telefunken to get advise as to how the tv's control over the pvr could be activated/de-activated??

dstv /

I have spoken to a few guys at dstv and other places it seems that Hisense jvc and telefunken are bad with the handshaking protocol with the decoder, Samsung is the chosen one that works.

Currently looking for a flash for my tv , but I think they should desighn a flash for the Decoders , seems like the decoder software is too full of issues and security that make simple handshaking very difficult between sets.

I don't know but it is all driving me nuts, maybe another service provider for tv , there decoder wont be so technical and work with the tv. but wont be dstv.

I also think my port is going to blow soon as this rebooting is not good for tv or decoder.

caught in the middle

dam dstv

Ok Guys
Got a sort of a fix but still a pain- connect dstv and tv on hdmi port 3 tv and use rca cables and then choose av 1 before switching off the tv and go to hdmi 3 when you want to watch in hd , but remember to back to av1 befor switch off, then the dstv does not reboot on switch on. many hours of rd to figure that one out .
