Telkom 10215 service?

So here I was, trying to change the wireless password on my Telkom 5102G router (which was installed by a technician 5 years ago, and I've unfortunately forgotten the password to access the router menu's).

So I called 10215 - Telkom, and pressed option 2 - technical support.

The first operator was not able to find my account and after the 3rd attempt to understand my telephone number, she put my call back on the system (telling me to hold on).

Second operator that picked up where number 1 left off, told me that since my service provider is not Telkom (webafrica), she cannot assist me to access my router, when I asked to be put through to a supervisor she swore at me, and when I asked her for her name she cut the call.

And here I was thinking that telkom had actually put their act together lately? Sies man.
 
Router password or wireless password has nothing to do with telkom :/

Get your internet username and password from your ISP.
Then do a hard reset on your router.

Then reconfigure your router.

Odd, I had to deal alot with telkom lately. About my lines in Heidelberg and Centurion and in most cases it was sorted out asap. I found the call centre agents to be helpful and extremely knowledgeable. As much as I dislike telkom I can't fault them these days. Hell even my complaint about slow adsl resulted in a techi with in 3 hours at my house.

Same here Grubscrew, I had a few faults on my ADSL line in recent months and had nothing but excellent service from the ADSL faults reporting call centre. The 2 women in question today were out of line, and rude. Probably temporary staff to cover during the holiday period.

Hell I even received a Christmas card from Telscum even though I have not had a service since May 2010 after cable theft - way to go !!!
 
if the router its from telkom they were supposed help you changing the password for wireless. They say all calls are recorded
