<sarcasm>Imagine how awesome the 3Gb cap will be with a 1Mbps line</sarcasm>

telkom will have to raise the cap to accomodate for these higher speeds

I wonder if dsl 1mb will only be avaolable fpr business first and only later for residential?

probably both, they will make more money that way

I for one think DSL1024 will cost R699 for business. It will only be released in August when the rest are cut. There will be an upgrade fee (skum as usual) and most likely need a special ISP account (more skum like)

lol 512k with 3gig cap, 1mbit with 1.5gig cap... Makes more sense, I am a telkom rep *cough* hahahaha

It'll take what.. 6 hours to use up your 3GB international bandwidth? Hooray.

Dont you all remember the day when your Whooolllee company of 70 people were on a 64k line? The point about use of the full cap on adsl by Yapoc is way too true. wow, scary to think. They will probably bring out a 6 Gb or 9 GB account and sell for alot more. Blymee!!

Just so you know, I have a townhouse Internet solution called Wirefree which could help solve the problem. If the Complex has enough users on board then we could offer an uncapped solution. If anyone is interested and stay in a Complex send me a private message so we can talk, or vist the site www.wirefree.co.za. Also, its all legit.

I really hope they can make adsl more attractive some day....

Gig,

what is your connection to the internet? I understand your "wirefree" part (looks like the miro "pre-wimax" equipment), but how does your server connect to the internet? leased line? adsl? iBurst? sentech? sattelite?

Well one country that did so in proper fashion is the Netherlands, bumped the 8mbit/s okes up to 20mbit/s
Ill repeat, when did you arrive in south-africa?

Im certain the netherlands dont have a monopoly raping their country, or if they do its state controlled. But here they let the dog of its leash and now its ****ing on everyone's lawn!
