Telkom 10mbps DSL with DSTV Explorer

Anyone signed up for the 10 Mbps DSL and received a DSTV explorer, does anyone mind explaining how it works? i.e Terms and conditions ?

my understanding is that you don't need to take a data package with them, just an ADSL line/VDSL line.

Went into shop today..it's free when signing a 10mb line on a 2 year contract.
