Hi Guys,

I guess I need some advice. Just checked my telkomsa.net usage and it showed just under 100GB local usage over the last 2 days. It showed international as 9.4 GB. I promptly phoned 10215 and the guy told me that his system showed 49 odd GB international and that he could not see local usage.

The last time i checked my usage I was sitting on 28 GB local usage, this was like 3 days ago, and i have not used the account since.

The account is set up on my router as the default PPOE connection, semi bridged mode, but I create a connection from my pc on my mweb uncapped account when i want to download international and have only been using that for the past few days, only downloading from international sites.
I have only 1 pc connected to the router and no wireless capabilities anywhere on my lan. It's a home network with no other outside connectivity. I am pretty sure that before i disconnected my mweb connection from my pc it was showing 2.4 days connected. So probably no way I could have downloaded that 100GB.

How do i sort this out with Telkom, or should I not worry about it. I am only thinking that 100GB x R15 is gonna be more than just a bit painful.

Hoping for any advice, thanks.

There is another thread running. Seems a telkom screw up. Check again as this afternoon mine was at 14GB and now correctly showing 3,4GB

Not wishing bad luck on anyone else, but I'm glad it's not only me. Just hope they can sort it out before they start sending out them bills.

that would be the most feasible explanation

Telkom claims I did 5 gb last night, i was using my Mweb account , I’ve never seen inaccurate usage before , I’ve seen them fail to cap a account but not even for such a long period, hopefully we get some official news on the inaccurate usage.

As an update, there has been no change on what the telkom usage tracker shows.
It has also been 24 hours since I reported the problem via email, as I was instructed by the support guys. Still no reply on the email, or even a notification that they even exist. I have decided to send the same email out every day... till I get a reply from them.

Anybody know of some good telkom email addresses I can add to the cc list :)

Not international, local

If it's already being addressed somewhere else, please just point me in the right direction, thanks.

4096 linespeed.
Hmm, this is strange. When I count up all the totals under the audit view, it's just over 28GB, which is exactly what it should be, not the 120GB that the usage report states.
And the line line port is the same throughout the month.

Guess it's just those morons who can't get their stuff to work properly.

Not strange. Their counters went on strike so they hired temporary idiots that failed primary school maths. Hence the absurd amounts of "usage" probably still showing on your front page/email/wherever. I would seriously not worry about it too much. Like I said, we discussed this to hell and back already in a few threads e.g.

Just a small update to anyone interested in this.
I just received my Telkom bill and they have hit me with a R650 telkom internet usage charge. Isn't it strange how their so-called help desk is always completely unequiped to help their customers over the phone. So now it's right back to sending emails to addresses that never ever gets read.

The usage tracker still shows 120GB local over 2 days, audit report for those 2 days shows 4.1 GB. Is it even worth fighting for this, or should I just pay up and cancel immediately, like I should have done a long time ago.

Hurry up and leave them already. I'm 2 months free of their greedy billing system and crappy support. I couldn't be happier
