Telkom Ad on TV last night

Did anyone else see the Telkom ad on tv last night (think it was during Smallville that I saw it)?

The quote at the end was something on the lines of

"Telkom Broadband, the evolution of the internet"

WTF? Evolution is defined as

a process in which something passes by degrees to a different stage (especially a more advanced or mature stage);

DEvolution would be a better way - or to keep the theme consistent, extinction.

They did, but in order to improve it, they made it square.

We would all be walking, because their wheel would turn slower that walking pace, and it would be too expensive to maintain. Those who could afford to maintain it, and keep it rolling, would only be allowed to use it for cassual trips to the shop, but no long distance travelling.

They do not say where though. It may be the main thrust behind 1024ADSL, so that they can now claim that they are as fast as iBurst.

Telkom have stuffed an advert in the latest PC Format - a magazine that I hope will improve now that the irritating previous editor has been hoofed.

Interesting to note that all references to ISP costs are not included. So perhaps we ought to be asking the ISP to provide us with copies of their back-to-backs with Telkom. Perhaps the fight should start there. The ISP should insist that their contractual rights are upheld - or prehaps the rolled over a long time ago and accept the standard Telkom contract of the day.

This is a thing that irritates me - who looks out for the consumers? Or do we always have to do it ourselves? Why don't the ISPs complain that Telkom operates both as wholesaler and retailer? Nope, he'll also screw you for his R300 a month for providing an email address.
