Hi Guys

Ive got a bit of a problem. Ive got the Telkom ADSL 5102G Router and i would like to set it up in a specific way, anyone able to help me, i thank you in advance.

I would like the following:
1.Let the router connect by itself so i can use it for internet on my iphone.
2.Manually through my pc(i think this is called bridge mode but if i do this it disables NAT and makes me unable to make use of 1 and 3)
3.Do port forwarding for warcraft 3 so i can host games.

Anyone able to help me with this/or is it possible. I did it on my old mega 105(which broke...)

Thanks to anyone how is able to help me.

M

You could update the firmware of the router to a Billion 5102G, then activate the bridge interface (half bridge mode). This will enable you to still put an account in the router and connect via pc with another account. Just be carefull when you update the firmware not to brick your router. Firmware could be obtained here: http://www.billion.com/support/download/fd/fd2-Wireless-ADSL2-Router.html#fd202

BiPAC 5102G ANNEX A v2.7.0.23(ZUE0.B1)3.3.2.5

Hope this helps.

Are you sure you used the correct firmware BiPAC 5102G ANNEX A v2.7.0.23(ZUE0.B1)3.3.2.5?

Because thats the firmware I used and under interface setup there is a wireless tab. The options are internet, LAN, Wireless.

Did you do a reset after flash?

Press the reset button on the back of the router for more than 6 seconds. Then login using http://192.168.1.254 Username: admin Pwd: admin

"After the device is powered on, press it to reset the device or restore to factory default settings.
0-3 seconds: reset the device
6 seconds above: restore to factory default settings (this is used when you can not login to the router, e.g. forgot the password)"

Good Day

The Telkom 5120g it might be repackaged but the difference is that the
Telkom 5102g was made according to Telkom's specifications, it will have
different firmware to that of the billion 5102g. By downloading billions
firmware you have corrupted the original firmware and cannot roll back as
the 2.7.0.23 was not released for the Telkom router.

The only firmware we support is the 2.7.0.9 and the 2.0.7.13

Support

This was a email i received from Support (2 coms)

Is it posible to corrupt firmware? As far as i know its saved on a rom chip and you should be able to just flash it back to its original fw ? No ? Yes ?
