Ok, Ive heard forumites running away from the Telkom ADSL contract....but is it just a "anti-Telkom" stance or are there valid reasons.
I have been under a Telkom ADSL contract for 4 years now and I can honestly not see what all the fuss is about. I got my free modem, and as the prices have gone down so has my contract bill. After my first 2 year contract I was contacted again to offer me a new contract, and they would throw in a wireless router. I accepted and nothing has changed, bill has just been getting less and less as the annual price review kicks in.
A few months back they phoned me again offering to convert me to a cheaper option of broadband, the DO3 package and Closer. There were no penalties and my bill came down by a further R200
.
I have had quite a reliable service and have only been offline twice in the 4 years....and never more than 1 or 2 hours.
What are the issues with this contract lark?......I've had none.
