Hi

I was wondering i anyone can shed some light on my problem. I ordered ADSL and took the self install option due to the high installation cost. Now they don't have ports on the exchange and i know this takes ages to sort out. Now im sitting with a useless analog line that i dont use i dont even own a phone.

Now until they get a open port in a year or so im getting billed for a line that I was forced to install to have adsl. I don't have ADSL yet so as far as im concerned its illegal billing me for a service i don't have as i didn't order a analog line from the start.

Now i can cancel but then they charge me the installation fee still. I'm on the verge of going the legal route and approaching the consumer council before they bill me the first month for the analog line.

When initially i ordered the line the system shows that there is ports open and it still actually does but there is in fact no open ports.

Any advise what the path of least resistance will be or should i take the bull by the horns and take them to court. I have recordings of most of my conversations with them.
