Hey

I heard that telkom adsl allows us to download an unlimited amount locally. How does this work? When i checked my usage tracker it still showed the amount i downloaded locally. So what i wanted to know is when i reach my cap will i still be able to download? Will it continue adding to the usage tracker? How can see my local downloads and international downloads?

Thanx

Local upload and download add to the cap in addition to international.. the 3GB cap applies to international access and once the 3GB is reached you can kiss international speeds goodbye.. local is still full speed after the 3GB is reached and it should show on your usage tracker..

Quite kind of them to let us have the feature of local and international up and down counting.. nothing like catapulting us into the information age..

So it is true though that we have an unlimited amount of local downloads? Cause i was just reading on the telkom site that local and international downloads contribute to the cap.

If your on the 2gig account, it's supposed to cut you off entirely.

If your on the 3gig account, after your capped, your international goes onto a shared slow line - so slow in fact, that it's unusable.

Local is uneffected after the cap.

You should be able to pull down 6gig before your capped however, as your only measured every 24 hours and sometimes even longer than that - I did 6.3gig last month and didn't actually get capped as I timed it perfectly, doing a lot of downloading on the 30th and 31st.
