I have had my ADSL for about three years, at the time of getting it I wasnt the best in the world with the configuration etc so I just told telkom to set it up.

The ADSL Router is now outside in the office and evertime it goes down (Quite offten of late, I have to physically reset it i.e. Turn the power on and off on the box.) Im quite sure this isnt the case for most people.

It is a Telkom ADSL Router Pots, At the moment when I reset it it "Dials up" automatically and the PC's get Net again. So there is no configuration on the actual PC's. I would like to set it up so that I Connect from the individual PC's, or at least one on the network.

Thanx for the help in advance! Cheers!

We have a problem similar to this at our offices, I asked the question If I remember correctly the okes said it might be overheating.

I have 2 clients with that modem. Once a month (at least) the modem goes down. Then they have to switch it off and on and live goes on.....
Thats the marconi router in a nutshell :)
If you dont like it, burn it and get something like a netgear. They come in at under a R1000 at the moment, so it might be worth it

Get anything but the Telkom pots rubbish. Netgear are good as are Linksys and D-Link.

If you get a linksys WAG54G make sure the get the V2 as V1 was utter rubbish.
