Telkom ADSL router settings

I have a new install and a sync with the exchange.

I was on the phone with Telkom but haven't been able to get anyone to give me the router settings. They did give me username and pw for the ppoe.

What is the gateway IP and DNS settings?

I am in Sunninghill.

Hi,

The IP and DNS information will be provided by the network the moment you connect your modem to the ADSL line. You just have to worry about the Usr & Pw part.
 
Ok I understand that it is DHCP and the DNS may be auto also. Thanks.

However, don't I still need the gateway IP address?
 
The gateway or default route address is all so provides as part of the DHCP service, the ADSL service is a Point to Point server so your router has only one place ti can connect to, which is the DSLAM on the other end of the copper.

I have a Cisco 678 that uses to the Cisco OS. I don't think this model has a web interface.

I have just started messing with it and so far I don't get internet access. I am working through the settings.

If anyone has set up a cisco (probably the same settings) please post the settings I need to use with Telkom.
