Hallo,
I have a MacBook Pro, and I am trying to connect to a Telkom router for internet... But teh Airport keeps telling me Connection Failed. I have the right passwords and stuff, but it won't work, anyone with a solution (except to leave Telkom)?

Is the router wireless or do you have it hooked up to an airport base station.

Does it work hardwired?

Well, all of the Windows based PC's are connected to the internet, just my Mac that is giving problems. Don't have a LAN cable, can't test it.
I think the WPA password written on the back of the router is wrong, or somerthing, how can I check that?

Is it a hex password? If so try putting a $ in front of it on your mbp

Ok - so the telkom router is wireless?

I dont know how one does it for a MAC, but on my PC I have to set my IP address manually and my SUBNET MASK to 255.255.255.0 and point the pc to the default gateway 10.0.0.2 (for the 5102g router)

Perhaps there are MAC people that now how to do that

Are you using DHCP or manually assigning IPs?
