Telkom ADSL Self Install

Looking at the Telkom Self Install instructions it says that I must run the start-up software from the disc provided with the modem
But I am not using a Telkom modem!
Where do I get the software, or do I just configure the modem as per normal?

Just ignore that step. Configure the modem as usual and go to the self-install verification page.

The self-install option is for people who know how to do an installation by themselves...

The only non-obvious step is that you have to activate your line on the adsl activation URL (I think it's http://www.telkom.co.za/verifyadsl )

initial username/password for the verification is [email protected]/guest, thereafter replace with the details provided by chosen ISP.
