Telkom ADSL Sync Speeds

Could guys with the following lines confirm for me please.

10meg = 10240kbps down/1024kbps up
4meg = 4096kbps down/512kbps up
1meg = 1024kbps down/256kbps up
0.3meg = 384kbps down/128kbps up

The website says 1meg links sync @ 256kbps up. But i have heard that people are syncing @ 512kbps up on a 1meg line? can anyone confirm?

Me... 1024 DL and 512 UL. I looked that website and thought... WTF???

From this and 2 other tests (here and at Speedtest) it would appear that my UL is indeed 384.


Test conducted on Sat Sep 24 2011 11:06:47 GMT+0200 (South Africa Standard Time)

Download Speed: 850 kbps (106.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 383 kbps (47.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 131 ms

What ISP and package are you using Uncapped?
 
Don't forget the the overhead. The packets still need to be encapsulated so you wont really get 512 up if your line has a 512 upload speed. Please correct me if i am wrong
