hi everyone

does someone have a contact in telkom's adsl department?
apparently the technicians are on strike
my line has been dead for over a week now

can someone help me?

I would pray. Thats all that will help currently. SWC is priority right now.

i've been praying for more than a week now.lol
thats the problem.bcoz of the swc.every 2nd person wants to strike coz they know the companies will be forced to give in to their demands coz of the swc and bad publicity.
sigh

Doubtful, but you can try contacting one of the most efficient Telkom CS agents I have come across.

Please beware that he has a tremendous workload (due to BEE in my opinion), so please be respectful when requesting assistance and provide all the necessary details; therefore reducing the amount of interaction that is required when contacting him.

(Removed details)

ps. please let me know when you have taken down his details so i can remove it.

...there are a few other forum members that require the details as well - (pm not enabled).

Please refrain from insults in a public forum.

lol funny tango

Ja, I do think it is funny. Ever since I have joined this forum, I have found it a valuable source of information - which is shared freely amongst all members. What I don't understand is why people like yourself take offence when other forum members try and help other members by passing on information?? You forget you also started off as a N00B - as we all were. Rather reflect back on all the information that you have received over the years on this forum before making statements like you did.

I did not take take offence at anyone helping other people, but i firmly believe that my concerns is valid regarding the posting of people's details in public threads... if that info is available on any public website and just copied then i apologise but otherwise you need to take that into consideration.. this had nothing to do with the point you are making however valid that may also be.

The contact details are indeed publicly available, however it was removed as the consultant is already overworked, as it seems he is the only one in that branch that actually does anything.

No apology required, however can we now leave it be.

Complete newbie here!

Is the strike still on? I had an installation scheduled for last week, but this was not honoured because of the strike. The call centre staff have been very friendly, but nothing will happen until the techies are back on the job. I am almost at the point of praying, because life without broadband is much less fun!

I've just returned after 4 years overseas and broadband is an essential link to my overseas life!

I suppose I should get on my knees now ...

they say a deal might be signed tomororw.
its pathetic.but we jus have to wait
