Telkom ADSL transfer troubles

Hey,

I am sure you get quite a few topics dealing with Telkom's inadequacy, but I thought I might get some worthwhile advice. Here follows my story.

I have ADSL installed. I was moving from flat nr 23 to 52 and called Telkom asking how to transfer my ADSL. I was told to fax my details. I did this. After 2 weeks of no response, I called again and was told to fax again. I did this again. After 2 weeks I called again upon which I was told that I shouldn't have faxed, but should have requested the order over the phone.

After much teeth gnashing, I did so. This was in March. I received an installation date of the 5th of May. The 5th of May came and went with no installation. They said they were short on technicians. They then gave me the 29th of May as an installation date. Again the day came and went.


All this after paying for my ADSL for 5 months, even though I didn't have access to it. I have tried calling the managers, where I left a message, but have not yet received a response. I have tried to call the installation manager, but the phone just rings.

I applied for ADSL for my parents about 4 months ago and still nothing!!!
Had many intallation dates and still nothing!!!
 
Should do a proper self-install, go break open the bluebox on side of road, then jump the fence at the exchange and hold a techie hostage ;)
