Telkom ADSL up to 4Mb line question.

I have recently upgraded my line from 512kbps to 4mbps with Telkom

What should the linespeed more or less be?

Mine is currently running at 3168kbps? Should I complain or is it normal?

I get 3.3 MAX... you should be happy with that, because I think they only guarantee 1000kbps - your're lucky if you get more?

that is about right. i get somewhere between 420kB/s - 450kB/s on mine

go to http://speedtest.neotel.co.za and post the results. If you get download speeds of 410kb/s + then its good and upload speeds of 50kb/s + then you have a good connection to the exchange.
