Telkom adsl username and pw.

Evening all.

I ordered an adsl package from telkom. The techie arrived today to do his bit but telkom did not sms or email me my adsl details.

Can i get it online or do i have to phone them.

He won't have those details. You have to call the helpdesk. They will give you your login details

Usually gets SMS'd to you once the line is confirmed active.

Your account is supposed to have been created before the tech is dispatched, and you should have received the details by SMS.

(I suspect your cellphone number was not captured correctly at a critical point im ordering)

If you connect the modem, it will authenticate, and most OSs these days will open a special browser window saying ypu must log into the network, which will show a page that should help you set your modem up (and find your account and reset your password).

Except, it will SMS the OTP to the same number it would have sent the username/password to.

But ... if the tech had done this (and chosen the 'technician' option and entered his Telkom corporate username), it would have sent the OTP to *his* cellphone number ...

If you still have trouble, strictly not what you asked, maybe it helps.
You can buy data from any ISP online. Authenticate with this "temp ISP" username and password till such time that you obtained your Telkom credentials.
