Telkom ADSL2+ routers

I was just checking out different telsuck routers when I started wondering why do they market
their ADSL2+ ready modems when they themselves are probably light years away from supplying an ADSL2+ service

What an ugly 'lil' bugger piece of hardware for R799 - DSL2+ in SA? Not in the near 10-20 years as far as I know.

It's marketing

Like telling a guy a certain model of car can do 350km/h.... but our roads aren't built for that kind of speeds...


And I have seen better-looking models... won't touch a telscum-branded router with a barge pole seeing that lots of people have issues of some sort with it... (except the 5102g router).

All ADSL modems are ADSL2+ these days.

I guess it means that it is future safe.

Not AFAIK... hope Neotel's planning ahead on this...

Marconi probably don't make ADSL routers which aren't compatible with ADSL2+...

Because ADSL and ADSL2 Routers are no longer available on the market, the lowest tech available is ADSL2+, so that is all they can supply... sigh...
