Hi guys
Can somebody please help me? I attempted to move my Telkom ADSL line to my new home recently and did so by filling in an online form (which I did after struggling for hours to get telephonic support but nobody answered).
After this I got a message on the computer that a representative will contact me within 48 hours, which didn't happen.
Today, 72 hours later, I got a message on my cell phone that I need to make an "advance payment" of R225 before my "request" can be attended to.
I do not mind this, but the message is very cryptic about exactly what the bank details are that I need to make the payment to. The number that is given is not attached to any specific bank account, and the number of digits do not even fit in the online form as a reference.
I attach the message so that you can see what I'm talking about.
Has anyone else had to deal with this? If you have, how do I go about it?
