So I go and order an ADSL line, get my order number, customer number, and number to call i.e. 10210

Problem is, I don't have a Telkom line to call their hurry up and wait forever line.

It is only available during office hours, so somewhere I am going to have to abuse someone else's Telkom line to call to find out when they are going to install my line.

Or alternately abuse my feet and back, and go stand in the queue at Telkom Direct.

I will not be calling 10210, from my cellphone.

How is it abuse? Its a free call!

Using some one else's phone who you have to ask a favour of for the amount of time it usually takes to get something usefully done on the 10210 line is abuse of their hospitality, however you look at it, regardless of whether it is a "free" call or not, you are after all depriving them the use of their phone for which they pay for, for the unreasonable length of time it takes you to complete your call on the 10210 line.

You're looking for an excuse not to solve your own problem.

Oh well, moving along then...

It appears, that if you require instant connection to a consultant on 10210, then use the phones provided inside the Telkom Direct store.
