Telkom and ISP bill combined???

hi guys i would just like to know those of you that has your line rental on adsl with the ISP that is a seperate fee so i understand but the voice or analogue portion with telkom what package is the cheapest if you don't use the analogue portion and how much do you pay guys or the estimated fee???

1.) Telkom forces you to take voice. There is no getting around this, even if you don't want it you have to take it. Way to waste R130 Telkom.

2.) Your bill will be Telkom PHONE line (voice), Telkom ADSL Line (DSL) and ISP bandwidth cost. In some cases ISP's allow you to rent the ADSL line from them as well as purchase bandwidth, this tends to lower costs.

A guestimate would be R130 for PHONE , R152 for 384kbps ADSL (cheapest/slowest line) and R29 for 1GB of bandwidth through Afrhist.

This would work out to R311 a month as the cheapest minimum offering you will find.

I would suggest you phone the big players: cybersmart, saol, axxess, afrihost etc and see what they are wanting to charge for the ADSL portion + bandwidth.

Make your decision based on that.
