Hi .iam intrested in what the Infrastructure of Telkom's network looks like,as well as how ISPs actually connect to Telkom's network.Ive got an idea ,iam just not 100% how it all fits together

Here is my idea ..

1.The inital username and password authenication to logon to the internet:
Customer Premieses - > Telkom Exchange -> Telkom ATM Network -> ISP Network (Radius Server authenicates user)

2.Once logged onto the internet u get an IP Address from the IST Tier ISP:
If u want to access local sites you get routed to the JINX and not thru the Interconnect link
If u want to access international sites/servers you get routed thru the Interconnect link

One more thing - If the Radius Server to located at the 1st Tier ISP how does your request travel from the Telkom ATM network to the 1st Tier ISP network ? Is it thru the Interconnect link that links the ISPs network with Telkom's network ?Iam not sure if the Interconnect link is only for International connectivity for the 1st Tier ISPs , or for Local and International

Is this question so difficult that there's not 1 person on this forum that provide an answer.Wish these forums could do less gossiping and more tech support

Unfortunately most of what you've stated in your initial post is not 100% right.

Although not exactly accurate, from an ADSL perspective (not intl. bw), you could think of SAIX (Telkom) as the only 1st tier ISP and IS (Internet Solutions) as the only 2nd tier one ... all other ISPs are just resellers of the two. Even these reseller are divided into ones that are self-authenticating, and ones that are not.

So as you can see, even before you get into technical explanations, you first need to define which type of ISP you're talking about?
