Telkom and mweb adsl stoped working

Hi so yesterday everything is just of not working i havent tested a new modem yet but will do so later my line seems to be working and is showing 1024/512 connection but i don't get any pppoe ath my line stats is
SNR Margin
:
14.0 14.0 db
Line Attenuation
:
63.5 31.0 db
Data Rate
:
1024 512 kbps
and even if i set my modem to bridged mode and dial my username and pass on the computer it just gives me connecting when it should try to verify my info so im thinking it my be my modem

Please let me know if you are still experiencing this. I would like to look into this from our side, please let me know.
 
Hi just to update nothing is working now will test the modem tomorrow don't think the problem is with mweb will log a call to telkom tomorrow i just have to make sure its not the modem before staring to complain i do however pay buzybuy for my line rental and have requested them to transfer my line back to telkom so i can take it over to mweb think that may have someting to do with it but they said it will only be after a month to complete the transfer :wtf:
 
Unplug all phone/fax etc instruments as well as pots filters and try again.
 
i did thanks for the reply im a computer technician was just making sure im not missing something cuz its a pain talking to someone at telkom most of there employers just work from a faq that can get frustrating
 
thanks for the help all turns out that when i asked for a line transfer back to telkom the guy at buzybuy decided that his going to cancel it:mad: so thanks to someones stupidity i have to wait till telkom activate my line again and that is if there is still a line available just so i can transfer to mweb at least telkom wasn't that bad to work for for a change.

Hi Riaan199,

Sorry to hear about your transfer adsl line downtime.
I had a look at your transfer request and we submitted your order correctly to Telkom for the line to be transferred back and not cancelled.

This appears to be a fault of Telkom cancelling your line but I am going to follow up now with them and email you privately.
The last thing we would ever want to do is cancel your line and have you go through the troubles of re-connecting.

Here is the ticket we logged:

Ok just to inform you that the prob was with telkom and not buzybuy and im sorry i directed it to the wrong party telkom fail... and to let you know buzybuy did offer me a 1 meg uncap account till end of april wont be using it as im with mweb thank you for the follow up
