Same way they bill you for calls in advance, it's Telkom... they are a law unto themselves

A possible reason is that from 1st of August the prices of phone line rental and DSL are changing. And telkom have been good enough to apply the changed pricing from the 1st of August hence the extra items.

I have the same thing on my bill.
However, I can't explain your cancelled items.
