Telkom bandwidth tracking make mistakes!

Hi,

I'm sorry for my english.

I track my adsl connection on my firewall (under Linux). I check each morning the different between the Telkom report and my report.......I find an error of 100 Mb this month.

I ask to Telkom (I sent my logs) why ?????
the answer of Telkom : the unit of Telkom tracker is the kylobyte

...and on my tracker is the byte.

For exemple : a size web page is 700 bytes, Telkom count 1 kilobytes (1024 bytes) !!!!!!!

that's not a mistake, just a functional deficiency in the calculation method, due to being defined at a too high level of granularity (for you), apparently. maybe you should shout at them to consider tracking volumes in bits (or how about nibbles?!).[] the line's got to be drawn somewhere, and i don't believe that pursuing this will go anywhere...
