Hi, I'm posting this to see if I can get any advice in trying to solve a problem we having in our town...

I own an IT business in a small town in limpopo, and over the last two weeks we have had quite a few complaints from many of our customers about poor internet connectivity. Went to the clients to look what may be the problem, but all we could find is that they are having poor line quality. We've always pushed mweb products here, and all of the clients are Mweb customers.

First thing I did was contact Mweb, and actually spoke to a consultant who was very friendly and helpful. They did there usual tests, but found nothing especially wrong. Did a couple of ping tests and had a 6-8% package loss to the mweb.co.za site.

Next thing I tried was contact a local wisp who I know is on IS and vodacom, and he informed me that he is having the same problem, but because he has many clients, he is struggling to keep his clientel happy.

He also informed on the most important information in this situation. He had telkom come out to test his lines, and the telkom agent informed him that although he has been instructed not to tell the truth to the clients (i assume from superiors), that there is a problem from the dslam here in town going out and that they have been waiting for over 3 months for the required equipment to sort out the problem. I am shocked that he has been told to lie!!! He's been told to tell the clients that the problem is on the line is repaired at each call out.

Can any advise what could be the next course of action to get these hellkom agents of evil off there butts and sort the problem out?

Telkom, telling lies to their customers? Impossible! (Need that :insincere surprised look: smiley again).

But on a serious note, if you find out how to get these scumbags to do anything, let me know as well. They probably charge people their insane call-out fees every time as well.

Is there anyone how has any contact info of someone high up in telkom. This problem has hit serious proportions and need some help.
