Well here's the story...
I am on a 3gb telkomsa account and I capped
it this month on the 12th. I downloaded... 9 gigs
with it and then it could no longer connect.
Now... with the same account... 18 days down the line
... I'm online again.. whilst my other account with
4gbs on it... is capped. Anyone had this happen?

Should I just keep quiet whilst keeping the downloads
running :P

clarify? Standard procedure of what?
Randomly uncapping?

It's their softcap... other ISP's buy bandwidth from telkom and pay per gigabyte, so they only give their customers the amount of gigabytes the customer has paid for. Telkom gets its bandwidth from itself, so they can let their customers go over their caps without losing any profit. The amount seems to vary monthly, and when other ISP's complained about it they sent out letters warning people who "abused" it that they would be disconnected... but that hasn't happened

I don't think you quite understand the jist of my post.
I realise telkom has a soft cap system and BOTH my accounts
have already been over the cap AND capped.
The account I speak of, I have NOT been able to connect with
since the 12th of this month (yes I did try) and due to a miscalculation
in bandwith usage... I managed to cap my other account before the
end of the month.

I then tried the capped account again, and it is now working.
I don't think this has anything to do with the soft cap system
which as I understand works on the average bw usage of all the users
within a certain area?

im uncapped miraculusly too :) dont worry.. just rape it b4 they cap u..

lol.. yup its happened twice this month to me.. rate ive done 20 gigs so far :) mmmm
