So I want to pay my Telkom Bill. Navigate to their site and sees this on my electronic bill:

Balance: -700.00
Total Obligation: -893.83

I have this funny feeling that this is a credit on my account.

Some background: I had a home line and ADSL up until November 2011, after which I cancelled. I then reapplied earlier this month for the Simple option and my line and DSL were activated on 11 May 2013.

I might have made a payment prior to cancelling in 2011, could it be that this is still reflected? Damn I'll be happy to have some unexpected donation to my Beer Fund :p

So what beer will you be purchasing ?

The R700 will be a deposit you made right at the start. They made me pay the R700 too due to non-existent credit history. The 800ish does seem like a credit.

You need to watch these okes like a hawk though - they were happily overbilling me R100+ every month until I raged at them. Never managed to get a full backdated refund though.

If i was you I would just shut up and ask the mods to delete this thread.

If you were in gauteng i would have helped to celebrate and share this beer fund.

Looks like you are in credit with telkom. Enjoy that beer
You're welcome to fly down and help a fellow forumite out :D

Yes, the R700 I had to pay when I applied, but that other amount is the one I'm wondering about :)
