Client ADSL Copper Line was stolen in Roodepoort on 9 April 2018. Service disconnection queried to Telkom at the time for investigation. Only on 30 May did TELKOM confirm that due to stolen cables, the infrastructure would not be replaced.
Upon requesting a rebate for no service with effect 9 April, the response is:
I do apologize, we do not credit for stolen cables, as the ADSL LINE and data needed to be cancelled in order not to be billed
Hoping for Telkom to reinstate the infrastructure, the line was obviously not cancelled, this was only done on 30 May after Telkom confirmed.
Should the client pay for a ADSL Service for April and May that was not supplied?
