Hi Everybody

I have a billing issue with Telkom, you see I owe them some money. What happened was that they suspended my account for non-payment. So fine I owe them money I will pay them, but unfortunately I cannot pay the full amount all at once, I had a 4 meg adsl account and a closer 3 plan so that
is about say R700-R800 pm. Now they are still billing me after they suspended my account for the ADSL and Closer Plan. So now I am being billed for ADSL and a Calling plan that I cannot use. What should I do. I will pay them their money but why must I pay for the ADSL and calling plan which I cannot use because of the suspension. Every time I contact them they say that I cannot cancel the ADSL and calling plan because the account is suspended.

What Should I Do?

im in the same boat on an old account. eagerly awaiting responses.
 
Same here! Our telkom cables stolen in July 2009 but Helkom didn't cancel our adsl account until April 2010. Then we were given their 3G crap to utilize while they heehawed about whethe they should replace/fix broken cable!
3G phone did'nt work too well in our area; too many dropped calls / carrier errors, so I tried to return device! They refuse to accept & sent bill for about R2700.00 which I refuse to pay!
 
Suspend and keep on charging?! That's insane. Surely a case for the CPA?
 
Yep! That's what they do - wish the entire 10 000 members that complain about Helkom could all at once at the same time write to Icasa, CPA & DTI about Helkom's shady under hand tactics!
