Telkom Blunder

Raina argues that SA's broadband penetration ? at 0,2% ? is a result of its lack of teledensity and had contributed greatly to SA's slow technology uptake.

This continues to be the most distressing piece of information and for each member of the Goverment that does nothing about this pathetic fact, not only is it criminal, but it will come back to bite them in the arse very soon!!

At the ICASA hearings it was stated that at the current rate of broadband roll-out, it will take 7 years for 1% of the population to get broadband access!!!
There are countries in the rest of the world that are signing up 100,000 users per month and here we sit with a total of max. 150,000!

What I also found depressing was that the ISP's that attended the recent MYADSL conference seemed very pleased with the recent uptake.

Wake up and smell the dust we are being left in!
