Telkom Broadband network and router

Hi all
I have a router that was free from telkom with an package i had with them last year. I now have moved places and placed an order with afrihost for a bundle of data and dsl line. While plugging in this router the self install said this router only works on telkoms broadband network. Does this mean that my Afrihost user details will not be able to connect on this router or does it mean you cant go plug this router in in another country?

I cant test it because my dsl line hasnt been activated yet but just trying to figure out if i have to go buy a new router or not?

Just a side question: this free router has wireless, if i buy a cheap non wireless router can i set it up so that it provides internet to the wireless network?

You dont need to buy a new router
don't use the self install CD, just log in directly to the router.
Not sure whic router you using but IP should be 10.0.0.2 and Defualt username proably admin password is password.
then just look for the setting to place your login name and password and should connect directly to your ISP.

As for your second question yes you can use just the wireless of the router if you buying a new router, its easy to set up, just need to turn of DCHP on this router, and set the IP address of the old router to be in the range of the New router - then set up the wifi SSID and password (can also use this to boost wifi if both routers have wifi) then again I say Easy but if you not sure on setting up the router it can be a bit complicated.
